Sew Much to Do, Sew Little Sleep

Starting a Small Business: Craft Now, Panic Later (With Occasional Advice from My Dog)

So... I did a thing. I turned my crafting hobby into a business. I’m not entirely sure whether to celebrate or cry into a pile of half-finished quilt blocks—but here we are.

My little office is now officially a “studio” (aka, fabric on every surface), I’ve learned to say “fulfillment process” with a straight face, and my dog—who watches from his bed like a tiny CEO—judges me silently with every impulsive online supply order.

There’s a lot to love: the creativity, the freedom, the thrill of watching someone enjoy the picked, thoughtful, curated items I’ve chosen with love. There’s also the terrifying part where you realize that you are the marketing department, customer service team, and unpaid intern all rolled into one.

But every crooked seam and 3 a.m. to-do list is worth it.

Because this isn’t just about fabric or notions or trying to make reels that don’t feel cringey—it’s about building something meaningful, one intentional choice at a time.

So if you need me, I’ll be over here dreaming big, crafting hard, and asking my dog if I should offer free shipping.

Big dreams. Small biz. Slightly frayed edges. Let’s go.
